Class or classless?
Darleen, over at the Protein Wisdom Pub, links to an article about the REAL issue in this Presidential race, and guess what? It's NOT race!

This is something I've been saying to most of the people I know, that McCain, and ESPECIALLY Sarah Palin, are not of the class that our "betters" like, or would allow to be elected. Even the Conservative Punditry, who basically live amongst their Liberal and Far-Left counterparts, are wary of "Flyover Country". They might want our votes, but THEY DON'T WANT US! To them, and all of the lefty Brie and White Whine crowd they hang out with, we are barely human, and the Conservapundits only have time for us when they are USING us to make some point against their liberal friends.
In other words, most of the establishment conservapundits are as bad for us as their Liberal buddies, and class WILL stick to its own, whether they agree on the finer points of ideology or not. Time to kick the class haters to the curb...

No, this election is not about race. It is about changing the direction we have been going in for at least three decades. The dominant meme has been "The REAL Americans are conservative and live in small towns. The fake ones live in the city. And their very existence is an insult to REAL Americans." I noticed your bilious call-to-arms where you perceived that you and those people you live and work with are being insulted just by the mere fact of Senator Obama's lead in the polls. That is just silly. The pendulum swings right, then it swings left in this country. It always has done so and it always will. Calling for a civil war over some perceived slight is utterly foolish. Sometimes your candidate and your agenda may get a majority of votes, sometimes it doesn't. Either way, the beauty of this country is that no matter how disappointed we are, we transfer power peacefully from administration to administration. Your desire for violence is more of a reflection on your character than us "elitist liberals".
My warning about violence was a result of YOU SIDES continuous verbal assault of ANYONE not like them. If you continue to try to marginalize us, the result will NOT be that we become more like you, but that we will fight back against it.
